About Us

I was born and raised in Malden, MA. In 1988, I moved to the beautiful city of Newburyport with my husband James. We raised three amazing children, and have one grandchild. All are alumni of MMNS.

In 1996, I was given the opportunity to become a teacher and learn the Mrs. Murray’s way of teaching. I became a lead teacher and eventually Director II certified through the MA Department of Early Education and Care. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful group of dedicated teachers.

What I like best about being a teacher is that it enables me to be a part of my students' growth and development. I cannot think of anything more rewarding that seeing a child's face light up when they have accomplished a new task!

I was born and raised in Newburyport, MA and currently live in Salisbury, MA. My husband and I have two grown boys who are both alumni of MMNS. 

I started out in banking and was an Assistant Manager for a local bank. After having my boys and volunteering in their classrooms when they were younger, I saw how rewarding it was to work with children. I went back to school and I am now certified through the MA Department of Early Education and Care. I have been working at MMNS since 2001 and can't image ever doing anything different. 

Now that my children are all grown, I can't tell you how special it is to me to be a part of other children's lives and to watch them grow. 

Pre-K Teacher

I live in West Newbury with my husband and our three sons. I have been a part of MMNS since 1990 - first as a patron of three children who all attended the school. 

When my boys went to school full time, I didn't want to leave Mrs. Murray's, so I joined the teaching staff in 2006. I am teacher certified by the MA Department of Early Education and Care.

I currently live in Salisbury, MA with my husband, and daughter. We have two wonderful dogs who I love to talk about. 

Having worked in the Early Childhood Field for over 20 years, I feel honored to now be teaching at MMNS. I hold an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science. 

I truly enjoy watching the children grow over the year and am so excited to teach them new things. I look forward to working with the great team and all of your children!

I currently live in Newburyport with my husband, 4 little girls and our 2 pups. All my girls have gone to MMNS.

I grew up on Long Island, NY and graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Masters in School Counseling. While working towards this degree I worked in a special needs program through one of the public schools in NY and absolutely loved my job.

Once I moved to MA in 2007, I worked at a school for children with Autism. I was there for almost 4.5 years and left once my first daughter was born.

I am excited to be back in the teaching field since all my 4 girls are now in public school full time. Working with kids is something I’ve always loved doing!

Pre-K Teacher

I have lived in Newburyport since 2010 with my husband and our four kids. I grew up in the Berkshires, moved to Boston to attend college at Northeastern and fell in love with this end of the state. At NU, I attended the 5 year co-op program which allowed me to work and take classes. This opportunity was when I realized that I love being in the classroom. I graduated NY in 2003 with my bachelors in American Sign Language Interpreting. After college, I began my career as a Special Education teacher and have been teaching kids of all ages and disabilities. Along the way I received by M.Ed in Severe Disabilities and my C.A.G.S. as a Reading Specialist.

I am very excited to be working here at Mrs. Murray’s - it’s a big part of my family’s life and a wonderful community.

Preschool Teacher

Working with children brings me so much joy and I feel very fortunate to have joined the MMNS team. I am so excited to spend the upcoming year exploring, learning and having fun with children.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and over the years I have worked with children from ages 2 through 16 in various capacities including day care, instructional support, special education and social emotional learning. I am certified through the MA Department of Early Education and Care.

My husband and I have lived in Newburyport for 26 years. We have a teenage son and cockapoo, both which keep us very busy. Together we enjoy camping, good food and travel.
